That's nice, bloody Mirbach does not state a price. What would your guess be? 12-15 k Euro?

    Great little cars indeed

Like you say Henk : they produced some very nice cars
They were also the first car maker ever to use a cam belt instead of a chain driven cam
I peronally love the 2600 / 3000 coupe, nick named Glaserati for its resemblance to the Maserati Quattroporte I

This was not so strange when you think they were both designed by Pietro Frua

The 2600 coupe first appeared with a 2600 cc V8 engine
It was this car that was the final nail to the coffin of the ailing Glas concern and in 66 they were taken over by BMW
After the takeover by BMW the engine was replaced by a 3.0 Ltr BMW unit
This car is also featured here on ultimate car pages:

the 2600 also made it to the oddball corner

    Bmw 1600 gt

Thank you for sharing your GT online.
I am from The Netherlands myself but live in Florida.

A good friend of mine has a BMW 1600 GT in new condition.
The car has been restored by a retired former BMW dealership owner.

I would really love to bring this car to the USA and sell it to an serious buyer.
Do you for see any issues importing this vehicle?

Also do you know anyone that would be interested before it goes on the auction block.

My friend also has a red and a green BMW Z1 for sale.

Let me know. It is good to see people drive these nice classic cars.

    Sincerely,

    Billy S

    Hi Bill,

Is there any chance that it can be sold in Europe too?

The 1600 a very good looking car, unfortunatley not so the "Glaserati". THe front fascia is just too jumbled and the mini grill beneath the BMW logo reminds me a little too much of Edsel.

Behind the front wheels the 2600 is alright, though.
