    Porsche 911 997 GT2

Home - Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG

    Just some pictures. Nothing special.

Edit: I guess it's my contribution for nearly reaching 3500 posts.

There are engine sounds on the site too, but they're not long enough to be impressive.

Right now, the GT2 looks pretty sexy, especially in black. It needs more pictures though.

Very nice website. So damn dramatic - I love the dark theme, it's pretty cool.

I dig this car - very professional.

I also dig whatever building they are in in the promo shots - very sick looking.

Nice, but not wild like the 1990s GT2, imo.
Should Comcast, which is buying NBC, have more motorsports coverage on VERSUS and now NBC? Does North America need a racing tv channel? Find the answer to that exact question on facebook.

Almost all German cars look more impressive in black.

it needs to wiegh a little bit less imo. or maybe release a GT2RS.
i don't mean that as it is now is bad, but a bit of insanity would be cool.

I agree that there should be a GT2 RS model. That would be even more professional.

Then maybe we could see a hard core version of the Cayman. The GT2 RS should be so crazy that a Cayman Turbo S wouldn't be able to touch it.

    Just a crazy thought.

good idea but we all know it won't happen because it would undermine the 911

don't care GT2 has always been a borderline lunatic
here, you can't take delivery of them until you've spent a day around the track with it ever since the first one that was delivered crashed while leaving the dealership.

i don't think it would, people who buy caymans are not the same people who buy 911's, the reasons are not performance imo

The track day GT2 idea is a good thing. I don't want to see them wrecked immediately after the owners pick them up.

The 911 GT3 engine could probably fit in the Cayman. It's a 3.6 liter.

    Imagine the possibilities.

Performance is a big deciding factor. The Cayman would have great potential. If it doesn't go through with Porsche I guess we could always go to RUF.
