That then means it's a pointless analysis as many countries have fought bravely but themselves have never been under direct threat. So no real win or lose in the war(s).

Well of course the U.S. lost a war, the Civil War. We beat ourselves. I know we adn our allies won the Revolutionary War (Britian), War of 1812 (Britian or France), French/Indian War (France & Native Americans), The Spanish/American War (Mexico & Spain), WWI,(Hungry, Austria, Germany) WWII, (Italy, Japan, Germany), Korea(Russia?), the incidents Iran and Guantemala, in Gulf War(freed Kuwait), and that's all I can think of. If have any of this stuff wrong about who we fought, please don't kill me.
