Replacing G25, more buttons on the wheel, adjustable pedal position, better H-Gate feel, helical gearing to reduce noise of FFB mechanism...
no sequential mode for stick shift....

Is there force feedback on the gear stick if you try to shift unclutched?

I've read a lot of debate on the difference between the G25 and 27 regarding the worthiness of an 'upgrade' to the 27 if you already own the 25.
Most people are disappointed with the G27 although my opinion is they addressed the main complaints.
I've been using a G25 since not long after they came out and I'm an avid sim racer....I do a lot of practice and at least one race per week. My G25 still feels great but I like the improvements in the FFB gearing and the addition of more buttons on the G27 wheel.
Most people say they rather try the new Fanatec Porsche GT3 wheel for around the same money. TBH the Fanatec does appear to be superior to the G25 in it's construction and features....but they have not been used in the real world long enough yet to say they are as reliable as the Logitech offering. http://www.fanatec.com/
I will probably get the G27 later this year and pass the G25 to a friend.
I think the lack of the sequential stick is kinda stupid, since as a sim a squential stick is kinda important for simulating modern race cars....especially sports and GT cars....
I can see the helical gear will help with the feel, the same reason why cars runs helical gears in the gearbox, it reduces the whine...but I don't notice it much when I play game...I am intrigue in how the Fanatec system works though, with the belt.
I like the extra buttons, as G25 definitely does not have enough, the adjustable pedals? I got a set of shim online that does it quite well....
Its unlikely I'll upgrade to G27, though it might be possible for me to pay for a set of Fanatec pedals though...

Maybe I'll look at a G25 in the future. Not now.
All cars with sequential gearboxes are pretty much done with flappy paddles now.
afaik they had to take out the sequential mechanical option to improve the feel of the gated lever.
Don't see an upgrade worthy from the G25 yet.
I don't notice the noise as I turn up the speakers to hear the engine sounds
FIA GT/GT3 cars aren't flappy pedals though, the stick is still mechanically linked....
I understand that they do it to make one better, but taking it out is just not trying...
