Allow me to pick this apart.

It's recommended to watch and/or having previously viewed TG 12x06 beforehand. Or read my Aveo5 review.

As I stated a few times now I bought an Aveo5 in April 2009 that my parents ended up loving more than I did, and they offered me to take over their lease of their '07 Cobalt LT if I'd pay 50% of the Cobalt monthly payments. I am no idiot so I accepted. The only thing is, I can't drive it during weekdays, my dad uses it. I've got it when it matters though, every nights and Saturday to Monday all day long. Good deal I think.

The odometer of my car is reading 25 860 km as I write this.

So here we go, here's my review. *enters JC's Fiesta review segments*

    Is it practical?

It's got a big boot, but its opening is rather small, so I can't fit my 72-packs of beer easily. Once they're in though, it's all good. It's also got plenty of legroom in the back when the front seats are in my driving/sitting position (I'm 5'11) so you can shove a lot of stuff in there. Like 72-packs, for example. I can fit a bicycle too.
You own a sedan so obviously you have more room in the back for such things as packs of beer and whatnot. You're correct about the truck opening size. When I want to insert my subwoofer box I must remove the rear seats and insert it through that opening instead. However once it is I can easily fit a golf/gym/duffel bag and/or a dead body in also.

    Is it economical?

No. Even with careful driving I can't seem to get better gas mileage than 10.9-litre/100 km (22 mpg) city driving. Theorical range is about 415 km.
You're doing it wrong. I get 33 MPG and I never shift below 4 grand.
    Is it fun to drive?

For what it is, yes. I drove the Civic and the Lancer, and they were better IMO, but the Slo isn't bad at all. It's also quite fast. 0-100 in 8.3 seconds, 0-160 in 16.8. Tried.
No it's not. It has a 4x4 stance and yours is automatic.

Will it break down all the time?

It's under warranty so it doesn't bother me too much, but so far the main problem is its brakes. I have read the front rotors (it's got drum brakes in the back) are rather prone to warp, and they did. And they're still warped as I write this. Also I've been through 2 sets of pads so far. Otherwise nothing to mention.
You ride the brakes. I'm still on my original pads/rotors and I have more mileage than you.
    Is it easy to park?

I have got a sick (I mean sick) spoiler pulling mad downforce that doesn't hide my rearview and tells me where the rear end of car is, so yes. Piece of cake.
    Word.

    Is it green?

As I mentionned earlier, not quite.
    True, it's orange...
    Can I afford it?

    Yes.
    I wont go there.
What If I'm asked to take part in a beach assault with the Royal Marines?

It would probably work but I can't be f***ed to bring it to the UK.
    Nah dude you're ****ed.

However I've been driving extra carefully for a month now and gas mileage improved but not by much. I guess I broke it in the wrong way... Remember, despite the fact it was my parents', it was until April this year the only car in the family, which meant I did drive it a lot in the last two years. I drove its first 20 km actually.

I do drive in a 'sporty' manner - or like an idiot, depends how you see it. Now that I pay for my own gas/parts I calmed the f*** down however.

Nothing like growing up... I'm not gonna lie, I did act like an immature kid who just got his license with this car. Which is exactly what happened.

Good thing it was with a leased car I guess.

We've all done that. But for instance the Mini still got 11-12l/100km with my heavy right foot. And that's a supercharged hot hatch with 170bhp and the aerodynamic properties of a brick.

I think we should make it a rule that if ever someone wants to post a review, they HAVE to post it in this form. It's simple, and informative.

    It could be worse.

From the best figures I can determine I can't get better than 13.2l/100km out of my Volvo

    you said it though.

fuel consumption of a 6 cylinder, power of a 4 cylinder.

i'm sure the aerodynamics don't help

Yeah, a 5 Cylinder w/1469 kilos to cart around (lighter than I thought, actually) can't be too easy.

that and I have to cane the engine to get anywhere. I most certainly do not spare the horses.

Edit: it's supposed to have 168hp. Lies. I'm also supposed to be able to get 11.72l/100km out of it....ok....

Is it an auto? Because that could explain part of it as well.

On the other hand a friend of mine says he often sees 15l/100km figures from his 22 year old Golf GTI 16v. However he has an even heavier foot than mine...

Tis an auto, but it has an economy mode......

generally doesn't change above 4000rpm in that mode.

In sport mode you can rev it to redline.

4.000 rpm are quite a lot for an economy mode in a (maybe 10 years ago) 170 bhp sedan.
