Volvo XC60 Concept 2006

what i find is that most customers are comparing the S60 to the 5 series,
A6, 9-5 saab, passat. The S40 is only slightly smaller so most customers compare the 3 series, A4, liberty, jetta etc...
Both cars similar spec'd price wise are very close
Volvo S60 LE roughly $55 Drive Away.
Volvo S40 LE roughly $50 Drive Away.
That XC60 should be called the XC50 as it looks like it based on the S40/V50/C30/C70 chassis.

For comparison:

-Audi A4: 459cm long (D-segment car)
-Audi A6: 492cm long (E-segment car)

-Volvo S40: 447cm long (C/D-segment car)
-Volvo S60: 458cm long (D-segment car)
-Volvo S80: 485cm long (E-segment car)

And yes the XC60 will be based in C1 platform, but so do many other cars, inlcuding all new Volvos (C30/S40/V50/C70/S80) the new Land Rover Freelander and the new Fords too (Focus variants, Galaxy, S-Max).

That is one dynamic looking volvo - it's a huge departure from the current, well thought out but a little dull lines of cars like the S40.......

Can anyone say Ford SUV? It has the face of the new Mondeo prototype, if anyone would take the time and chop a Ford logo in that front i'd like to see how it looks.
