For some reason i think the designers for the corvette get inspired by the NSX.

    360 headlights + NSX = C6!

But i liked the C6. The C6 seen in person is going to look much better than a C5.

It is not the first time that Corvette shows the headlights. The C1 Corvettes (1953-1962) had exposed headlights.

The front is the best part of the car!
Does anyone know the car's performance figures and engine specs? Like 0-60mph time and HP and torque numbers?

I have heard rumors from GM that they are planing on putting a 427 into a blue Corvette. Can anyone back this up?

    I think it's sexy...

never thought I'd say that about a Chevy . It does look a bit japanese in front...but it's still hot! I love the wheels, the shorter rear overhang and of course the 400 hp V-8. I kinda wish they hadn't increased displacement anymore, they're edging closer to Viper land, but you can't argue with 50 more horse at the expense of .30 liters.

Congratulations Chevy, I think I'm a full fledged Vette fan now. I didn't think it could be done! I just can't wait to see the next Z06 or whatever they call it, I can only imagine what they'll do with the (drools) LS6 engine. Boring/Stroking anyone?

P.S. Knowing Chevy, it'll be boring.

    Post Performance times?

Estimated by some magazines, took averages:

    0-60 (mph) 4.0
    0-100 - 9.5
    1/4 mile - 12.5 @ 113.00 mph
    Slalom (mph) - 69.5
    Skidpad (g) - .93

    Theoretical- may not be accurate!

The almost retro rear end is fan(bloody)tastic!
The front is too modern for me, it does look a bit japanese-ish.
Can't wait for my next 'Car n Driver' - somebody tell me what it's like to drive - please.

that wasn't a concept, that was a 50th anniversary version externally modded to make it look more like the vettes of old, notice the sides and its open lights. Not sure what company did the mods but I know a company did it other than chevy.

oh, it comes stock with 400 hp, Z06 should have 500 hp, and a special blue Devil Version will have 600 hp.
