perhaps you are kidding (i can not detect on this webpage the hints at sarcasm anymore) but there is absolutely nothing wrong with that description as it is the state my room is in. heh

I, despite being in a landlocked city, have a beach aesthetic room for whatever reason - So thats muted blues, greys & whites, wooden furniture, etc.

Given the choice I think light coloured woods (think swedish modern) and a 60's sort of Bond-esque theme would be my cup of tea.

You can't live comfortably in a house with white carpet. trust me.

    oh, and these.

Pretty much sums up what I like in an Interior design.

    Do I see Ikea?

My uncle had one of those. It broke. Not exactly reliable, but comfortable when it was still working. Ikea has quality issues now. Maybe because it's all made in China now.

    Really?

I didn't think Ikea made things for so long.

But an Ikea bomb isn't so bad. It might explode in my kitchen. We're going to renovate it soon. And I pray to god (whichever one is listening ) that my parents don't paint it pineapple yellow again, which they did when I was a wee lad.

We haven't renovated anything (except for the living room, when my dad moved in his 50 inch plasma) since moving into the house. And it's aging real fast. The linoleum floors are peeling off in my kitchen. It's so nasty and yucky.

the kitchen is my big task... and i think i may actually do iit in ikea cabinets. appliances i cant get behind, and we'll arrange our own floowing and coutertops, but the cabinets are really nice.

Yeah, we're thinking about Ikea cabinets. They don't look half bad.

theyre big, theyre blue, and full of swedish stuff.

in fact, halfway through your journey through the store, they have a restaurant serving swedish food. meatballs and poached salmon and stuff. very strange. oh yeah, and 39 cent hot dogs.
