Bugatti Veyron 16.4 vs SSC Ultimate Aero

Italian heat vs American muscle...who will whoop? Bugatti: 1001hp, 253mph (406km/h) top speed, way off the price charts, luxury+refinement=the Veyron. SSC: 1046hp, wind tunnel estimate 273mph (440km/h) top speed, amazingly low $654 000 price, carries a heavily modified Corvette engine, the car weighs only 2640lb (1199kg)! hello SSC!

    That's the problem though.

The Veyron has actually done it.
For now, the SSC is like S7 TT. Just assumptions.

    But I'd take the SSC.

the s7 tt has been tested by Car and Driver.

But it didn't go as fast as the Bugatti.

The SSC Ultimate Aero was tested by R&T (or someone else).
However, neither S7 TT or SSC broke 250Mph so the top speed is STILL assumption.

Actually the Veyron never held an officially recognised top speed record. The SSC is the current officially recognised fastest car.

I don't care if it was official or not, the Veyron hit 253Mph through many sources.

But next time, read the date of the post.

I'd do something similar, except I'd buy six houses.

Bugatti. Like you said, refinement. Plus, people will know what it is, you'll just be a rich git. With the SSC, you'll be a rich geek.

You're right - all you need to do is to say the word a couple of times!

    Oh, wait.

Except you're wrong. Bugatti, as a name is Italian.
