Many years of teasing with an accelerated campaign of sneak peaks has led to today's reveal of the all-electric Porsche Taycan. Showcasing the company's new direction, it is the German manufacturer's first ever all-electric car. Not to alienate the current clientele, the range-topping model will be dubbed Turbo S even though there is no induction, let alone forced induction of any kind on the car. It does offer the performance that matches the badge with a combined 751bhp available for its two electric motors on 'overboost' with the launch control engaged. At the market launch, the Taycan will also be available in the 670bhp Turbo version.
At the upcoming IAA in Frankfurt, Lamborghini will unveil this limited-production Sian. It is powered by a naturally aspirated V12 engine but benefits from a mild hybrid system that is powered by a supercapacitor, which is unique for this application. The electric motor is connected directly to the gearbox and adds 34bhp to the total out of 807bhp. Considering the addition of an electric motor, the Sian name is appropriate as it means 'flash' or 'lightning' in a local Bolognese dialect.
