i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

Ok guys, you got to explain me one thing.
I look at Dary's pic and I see these bright colours; then I read "RAW + HDR". I know that I have to have a bit more professional camera than my Sony DSC-W80 to shot in RAW format, but what about the HDR? I read that I have to shoot the same photo a lot of time (with +/- 2 EV) and then merge with Ps. But in Dary's pic there's a car and I think that at the time he took the pic the car was moving. But with HDR everyhing should be reaaally still. So, can you help me understand?
(I also remember a pic from - I think - drakkie that he shot by the harbour, but he was on a boat - I think... -. How could he manage to merge 13 photos in HDR standing on a boat??)

Since he can shoot RAW, he can also manipulate RAW images, and if you take a RAW image and create three or five jpeg images that the only thing you change on them is the exposure by steps of 1 or 2 you get a complete set of -2 -1 0 +1 +2 which you can convert into a magnificent HDR photo...

And can the exposure be manipulated directly from the camera (after having shot with RAW) or is Ps absolutely needed? Sorry for the noobish questions
Because I've tried to shoot some HDR with my sony but not owning a tripod the final result was a tiny bit... blurry...
Methink mewant a serious camera - biting my nails while I'm saying that -.

I have yet to come across a camera that can edit its own pictures on the level of serious image manipulation programs, also RAW editing can be done with several programs besides Photoshop, you can use ACDsee or Aperture...
and if i remember correctly there are quite a few non DSLR cameras that can shoot RAW too
