Skyline's more daunting than Conrod.
Skyline's more daunting than Conrod.
I am the Stig
I cant imagine taking Skyline at 150-200km/h, i back off from 60 every time i go there. Conrod is nothing in comparison. You come out of Forests Elbow and youve got a good few hundred metres of track visible infront of you. You crest Skyline and you get that - Sky.
I am the Stig
I got a corner here i hate taking at 60 . Imagine 150.

Im aiming for a late april completion date. That is, car drivable and in rego spec condition. My times being taken up with stripping this blue car though. the interiors completely gone except roof lining which ill take out this weekend. Ive so far used a 12mm spanner and a pair of screwdrivers to take the whole interior out, the extractors and the intake manifold

2. valve timing could be out
The Datto will rage again...
Towed it home to my place... im doing some other non mechanical things at the mo to distract me from the annoying lump in the engine bay. Put the roof lining up I took out of the blue car and tonight im aiming to swap the heater core over put the carpet in it.
EDIT: oh and im taking the steering wheel off. its enormous.
The Datto will rage again...
So I finished pulling the heater out, its shagged and so is the one I got from the parts car so its looks like an electric replacement will be the go there. Not that I mind, there 10kgs gone and a massive gap behind my dash now. Also took out the radio and speaker while I was in there to make room for gauges. :P
Got the carpet in, need to put the door plastics back on to hold it in place. Looks OK. Its not new or anything so I didnt have massive expectations.
new steering wheel to go on and standard seats to be refitted this weekend.
