A 5-Door and an Estate? Or a mistake? Seems the latter, I can't see a difference in the back ends of the 4- and 5-doors there. Or there just is hardly a difference in the rear 3/4. Anyone with better eyes and less tired wanna look harder?

In Europe some generalist D-segment cars come in either of those three bodystyles, 4-door saloon, 5-door hatchback and 5-door Estate. Some have saloon and estate only (premium brands mostly) and some have hatchback and estate only (like the Renault Laguna or the Citroen C5).

there is some hushed talk about it. but it would impact a lot of the sales of the fusion.

This looks better then in the Bond movie.
In the film it was a bit overdressed. (is that a word?)

i like this car, the better the mondeo gets the more we can appreciate being rarer than a 3 series.

Sell it as a Mercury. It would give reason for a higher retail and wouldn't cut into the fusion's sales quite as much.

An improvement in the styling for sure, the back looks a bit Megane'ish but overall I like it.

Why? Why do we get these limp-wristed fairy boy excuses for Fords over here, and you Europeans get Fords like this, Focus RSs, and so on/so forth.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

It'll get worse too. Apparently the new Focus will NOT be the one that they have over in Europe, but a Japanese stylee looking thing. I read this in the current R&T magazine.

I saw that too. In my opinion they are UGLY and I think that it would be a bad choice for Ford to use that one instead of the European one.
