I'm having a slight problem with Firefox.

I can't save pictures with Firefox but I can with Internet Explore.

Very strange.

Any ideas how to fix this?

This could be fixed easily


1. Close Firefox
2. Locate the file downloads.rdf which should be somewhere along these lines:

C:\Documents and Settings\YOUR_OWN_USERNAME\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\SOME_RANDO...

3. Rename downloads.rdf to xdownloads.rdf
4. Start Firefox

Firefox should create a new downloads.rdf and you should be able to save your files again.

Woohoo I passed the recommened specs for crysis, if your planning on getting this game see how your current computer measures up.

That should run it fine, but even an 8800GTS is getting destroyed (~30FPS) by Crysis

Don't even rely on SRL, it only tells you things on paper and not actual performance. I've been running it @ 1680x1050 on Very High, with some minor tweaks to make it stay constantly above 30FPS. I uploaded my screenshots to my Flickr: Crysis SP Demo - a photoset on Flickr

I'm having problems running GTA: Vice City on a Vista laptop. It's all installed properly and everything, disc is in, but when I go to run it, the disc spins up, it thinks about then happens. I've watched it almost start in Task Manager, and the .exe appears, but then it just, goes. Any help?

The problem is simple, Vista is not compatible with all games, and Vice City is rather old.

if you like max payne 2 (which is an awesome game) Try 'Mafia' if you havent already. Uses the same graphics engine. Is like a more classy GTA. And has a fantastic story. Stores sell it for real cheap now.

Vice City works here. It's just because it's Vista on laptop. Usually pre-installed OS's on laptops are buggy so it's better off reformatting and doing a fresh install. My friend has a Toshiba X205-SLI1 and the pre-installed Vista Home Premium was just unacceptable. XP SP3 ran perfect though.

Problem is: 1) It's not my laptop, just borrowing it for a week and 2) It didn't come with a Vista install disc, it's just got a restore partition on the HDD.
