OK this is getting to be beyond ridiculous. What I've posted here is 3 times the EXACT SAME IMAGE. The only difference is that the posted image has been sharpened, the rest of editing is EXACTLY THE SAME. The top left image is as I edit, as I see (although I'm not sure of that any more either...), the right hand image is the image after taking a print screen and opening in photoshop straight away, and the bottom left is the image as it appears in the post above.

I simply cannot post a correct coloured shot, because none of the colours are correct... I tried compensating for the colour shift in photoshop but somehow the whites became green...

Perhaps people could keep in mind of this when viewing the image, the top left is closest as I want it to appear...

I have the same problem, which seems most noticeable when I'm using Firefox. Uploaded images lose a fair bit of saturation and contrast once posted. I usually overcompensate a little bit, and save it as web.

Yes, that are rain drops causing some of the blurred parts. It was terrible weather, raining all day, but 30m to the left a very interesting heavy lift was under way. Three (!) floating cranes were lifting casco's of small coasters of a large pontoon. Me and about ten others were watching, quite nice was that it's designer came all the way from China to watch this.

The title of my picture is derived from the beaching of the vessel on the foreground a few months ago near Flushing. The Rubino (with it's crazy Italian crew ) ran aground due to the captain being unconscious for some medical reason.

On the subject of the quality and stuff on UCP, i also put a printscreen of the original and the version uploaded here (printscreened from here offcourse) online. Just to make sure, i put it on an alternative host. I don't notice any difference though. The image was created in Lightroom from RAW and saved in the sRGB colour space. Left is original and right is the one after upload.

See if color management is enabled in firefox, that may have something to do with it. Otherwise I would switch browsers. Opera or Safari perhaps?

That addon seems to have fixed it on FF, I know there's still a problem elsewhere, colours change within photoshop without my input, colours band on images etc. At least the image kinda matches what I see in photoshop here on the internet now...

Which version does everyone else see, out of curiosity? Bottom left of top left?
