I'm not a Dad, I just play one on the internet.

I noticed some pretty noisy roads when in Canberra.. I had kuhmos on the front and.. toyos on the back. Nothing fancy, but low profile..

I run Pirelli P6000's all round and the noise is truly shocking in some places.

You can be travelling at 60KP/H and have to yell over the sound. But you go on the highway and suddenly it's smooth & quiet....

Maybe they should use that tarmac that you can tune so it plays a song as you drive along it..

My thoughts are that they use the loudest tarmac possible to avoid drivers falling asleep at the wheel

I was more thinking it stops Canberra drivers from dozing off at the boring nature of our capital city.

I mean, you hold the wheel at an angle and just drive around in circles.

From what i remember the ACT has mildly loud road tarmac - The subaru was still very quiet down there, and the roads up here are worse, so stop complaining.

I have a feeling you'll enjoy the drive simon!

we were out on the freeway heading towards Yass when I really noticed the tyre noise. Ill have to double check as the fronts have been replaced but the rears are still factory.

note to self, don't buy these
try toyo proxes RA1's maybe, they seem to be okay for tire noise and give good grip.
