I sat in one, it was pretty roomy, but you're right, it was crap. The plastics are terrible, the seats are bad, just not a very nice place to be in.

What's truly terrifying is that their owners take them on the highways. I would never do that.

I rode my postie bike three hours up country once, the smaert doesn't seem so dumb to me..

I did, luckily, but then I wasn't able to drive it that fast during the test as the max speed on our inner-city-highway is limited to 70 km/h.
It let me down on an uphill passage, tho. The clutch has absolutely no feel at all, so when I had to start on the hill, it slipped and the car turned off .
(Shame on me)
It wasn't counted as a mistake because the man who tested me knew how shitty the clutch was . And because I made no other mistakes, I passed.

For the price you could buy a car and a scooter does pretty much everything the Smart does for a much lower price/cost.

So I still can't see the point.

There is a good smart 4-2, the CDI, as transport for home/work/home i wouldn't mind one.

Hopefully you can hang onto that license, though it should be a lot easier to keep in the Bravo than in a Commo.

There is a good smart 4-2, the CDI, as transport for home/work/home i wouldn't mind one.

But the thing is, a scooter does urban transport much more practically and economically and there's always public transport, if you are so inclined. And a proper car does everything else much better for a similar price.

One of my work colleagues tried the diesel and he said it was seriously slow.
