#7 flying to catch the leading Porsche.

In a couple of laps he's cut 7 seconds.

After both pit stops, #7 Toyota leads, seemingly stabilising the race.

At least until more rain comes.

Now it's Toyota #7 in the lead, Porsche #20 second, with both of the surving Audis (#2 and #1) behind.

EDIT The surviving Audi was #2, not #3, which crashed out earlier in the race.

Magnificent battle in GT between the Aston and the Porsches.

As for the overall race, Porsche is going down. Now, out of the podium overtaken by #1 Audi.

Apparently #20 has developed a brutal vibration, which may force to pit or even retire. They do not know where it's the tyre, the wheel or something much worse.

Could also be due to the missed chicane earlier.

As the sun sets, and another safety car comes out, if #7 manages to not crash or break down, Toyota could be the first Japanese winner since 1991.

I have no idea how much time there is left in the race but I agree, Toyota might bring home the win.

    They're doing surprisingly well.

Nissan seems to be plagued with bad luck. I wonder if plagiarism had anything to do with that.

#7 still at it.. long way to go yet though. #20 still running in third, not sure what's going on with the vibration. #14 Porsche in another long pit stop in the garage, still struggling with fuel pressure issues it seems. #8 Toyota that crashed earlier and knocked the front end off is still going, though they're 12 laps down.

In GT, the 'Vettes have dropped back a bit, the #51 Ferrari is leading Pro with the #95 Aston leading the Ams.

The battle in GTs is amazing, the #97 Aston Martin leads but just by few seconds from the #51 Ferrari. And that's after more than 13 hours of racing.

As for the overall lead, Toyota is a little but closer to the win. The #2 Audi is a lap down to the #7 TS040

#7 stopped at Indianapolis, Audi engineer said there was a fire but no fire seen from the #2 Audi dashcam.

Hopefully that means if there was a fire, it was quickly extinguished.

OK so I was away for a while and #2 Audi has dropped back and #1 Audi has passed the Porsche #20 and is leading. The Ligiers are leading P2, and GT is still pretty much as it was.

OK, so P2 class leader had a front left suspension failure but got safely back to the pits, and then the #1 Audi race leader had to stop and power cycle the car. It ain't over yet...

Looks like #46 Ligier is back out in second behind the other Ligier, and #1 Audi successfully rebooted and it still leading. Third place #2 Audi is averaging 5 seconds a lap quicker than second place #20 Porsche.

Whoop, #1 Audi had an unscheduled pitstop, an unsafe release and is now going around the lap being overtaken by GTE cars. .. Apparently just came back to life though, but has just re-pitted but into the garage this time.

#20 Porsche back in the lead, #1 Audi has apparently a turbo issue, anticipated to be about a 20 minute stop, so will lose about 5 - 6 laps.
