    If this kind of thing can get refined further it may revolutionize parking.. doubt it though.

    I remember there was some car in the 50's IIRC that actually had 4 small wheels that lifted the car off the ground and slid it sideways like a crab. Think it was American.

    it has been done other times on different cars on different parts of the world. Don't know who started, but it never achieved any sort of result.

    I like this one better. Unfortunately there'd not really a great vid of it.. they attached them to this truck to make it get anywhere in traffic.

    I know it's been around for a while, but I really don't understand how this hasn't taken off. It could be very useful in cities like London!

    Somewhere on the internet there is a really cool video of a forklift using those wheels, I have failed at finding it. I have failed at the internets.

    Yeah, I don't know where either, but it's been done in the past. Integrating it would be the hard part. And I'm sure no matter how much easier it is done, someone will still screw up parking with the gadget.

    anybody else have the initial link not working for them?

    and that forklift woudl be fantastic to drive. i like driving conventional ones, and that would be way more fun.
