    Yes. Indeed.

[on topic] Willysjeep I think you should get the jag and restore the Merc [/on topic]

Those Germans and Brits fought eachother a couple of times.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

but not with these two cars, which are of different generations. Actually the Benz came on the track a couple of years after the 3.8 Mk2s had been phased out.

And Merc tried their hand in the ETCC with this when BL was trying not to be rubbish.

By the way, the XJC for sale has the V12, hasn't it?

If you have a storage place, secure it for that amount. Decide later what to do...

This a no-brainer, WillysJeep.... do a nice sympathetic restoration of the Merc and enjoy it.

Buy the cloned Jag racer (you could never build it for that price) and freshen it up for the track. Play with it a little, and sell when the right buyer comes along. BTW, if you stroke that V12 to 6 ltrs (a crank from the later engine will work), you can achive more usable torque with few other modifications.

    Oh, decisions, decisions...
Never own more cars than you can keep charged batteries in...
