    I present Nismo 350Z #475

Picked up this '07 Nismo yesterday after Nismosis finally got the best of me.

It has 45k miles and was a dealer certified pre-owned car so it has 7r/100k mile warranty.

It was a one owner car and that dude was not kind to the cargo area of the interior. Several of the plastic parts inside are scratched so I'll be replacing them along the way.

Picked it up out of town so drove some city roads and a lot of highway, about 150 miles. It rides a lot like the two Cayman's I've driven, pretty stiff but not harsh. Corners real flat as you'd expect and road noise is quite a lot. It doesn't feel brutally fast with only 306hp and 3300lbs. but it's enough to get you in trouble.

Clutching and shifting the six-speed box feels nice, nice tight shift gates. It sounds great and you can hear some good exhaust feedback at low speeds, too bad it gets all but drowned out at speed.

I like the Nismo front and rear a lot as the regular 350z is looking a bit aged to my eyes. I think the longer. lower nose reduces the industrial feel of the 350Z design substantially.

That's all I have for now after only having it for a day so far....except I'll say the ingress and egress of the car is a bitch. The thickness of the door and where it's hinged at the leading edge in relation to the foot box is the culprit. Plus I'm an old phart.

PS. Eggnogg isn't around anymore...so I didn't bother with the obligatory note.

    Congratulations!

Enjoy it, because it seems like it can be pretty enjoyable.

    That's really nice!

I thought you had made a new custom plastic model again from the thread title.

lol. I can certainly see why you'd think that.

I am finishing up a 370Z with a custom front and rear.

    I thought the same.

In fact looking at the thumbnails I thought, "... damn he is really good, that looks very real!..."

    Congrats!

I remember when C&D took a NISMO to VIR they had a fairly large brake failure (and pokey had a similar clencher at Laguna Seca), so if you're going to track it better lines/brakes might be helpful.

Does the Nismo rev any higher than stock?

I hope Toyota comes with another sports car. getting rid of the Supra was such a bad idea. and Honda getting rid of the NSX was dumb too... those were some good Asian sports cars...

I remember that, I would look over the brakes for sure in case you're doing any serious track stuff.

    Thanks all!

@ coolieman1220...I like the 335 but it wasn't a target. If I had gone the sedan way I would have gotten a '07 or '08 Acura TLS.

@ f6fhellcat13...I doubt I'll be tracking it...but I'll keep that in mind. I think all 2007's rev to 7500 as well as the Nismo.

Nice, I've seen a red one around here....its a cool looking car....

You should try to find a set of Nismo LM GT4 wheels....they are probably the nicest looking wheels for a NISMO car...

Congrats and enjoy the new car!

    Tanx!

The LM GT4's would def give it the iconic Nismo look...and they are a bit lighter than the stock Ray's.

I like them both about equal....so down the road, who knows.
