    Andrea Pininfarina Died at 51

don't know if it's the right place

Andrea Pininfarina, 51, dead today in the morning after an accident near Turin. He was riding his bike at work, and was hit by a car. He dead instantly.

He was nomined "Cavaliere del Lavoro" in 2005, and has been CEO of Pininfarina Spa since July 2001: he has been also President of "Federmeccanica" and "Unione degli Industriali di Torino" and Vicepresident of "Cofindustria" in the years in which Luca Cordero di Montezemolo was President of the same organization.

I guess this is the right pic to remember and honor him.

I'm very sorry to hear about both of these deaths. My condolences.

At least Mr. Pininfarina has left a beautiful mark on this world.

IIRC he never worked as a proper designer, but it's under his management that we got cars like the P4/5 and the 612 K (IMO a good looking car). Now the Pininfarina trademark is no longer connected with a member of the Pininfarina family.

Condolences. It is never good when an old family trademarked company like Pininfarina is no longer family owned.

    Errrm?

What about Andrea's younger brother? He's still in the company.

for some reasons I cannot open the link. btw, when I hear the news on TV they said the company now wasn't connected with the family, maybe his brother has a role but not shares of the company, don't know.

As long as we think of him, he will survive. This was a terrible and tragic thing to happen.
He does have 3 sons that will hopefully run the company when they are old enough to.

contrarily to what I posted before, suggested by the news I hear on Italian TV, it seems that the Pininfarina's legacy will continue.
