Half the reason Mooney probably said that was because Holden wouldve been under pressure to put all its bets into VE to make sure it worked globally.

Now Ford's under similar pressure from their engineering squad, so who knows. If theyre going to do anything for Sydney this year, they might show Iosis, or do another tease for what Orion could look like. I wont expect anything though. At least that way i wont get expectations crushed, or i'll get extremely blown away...Win-win situation really

I doubt they would give an Orion hint. I think they will do something semi-major, because they havent shown any decent show cars in a while and Holden seems to keep winning fans with theirs...

I cop some crap at times because I'm a open Mooney disliker. I just think he's a toss thats all.

Maybe we might see a flared guard low coupe that might lean on the Orion side.

Carpoint are expecting Ford to release initial details regarding BF2 tomorrow, with the onsale date for October. A leaked document has apprently been passed around from Ford where they state 11 areas where (they think) the BF still outclasses the VE.

    http://www.carpoint.com.au/car-review/1957859.aspx

Unfortunately for Ford, those 11 things arent anything such as "we hold a 1 second acceleration advantage" and is more like "we hold a 0.1L/100km fuel economy advantage" and a few other things. Carpoint are speculating the 6 speed and ESP are unlikely to become standard fitment, but become options across the board which i think would be a mistake as they'd still be behind the 380 and possibly Camry and Aurion for standard equipment. They cant take the FWD for granted anymore.

Yeah some of them i dont see where it will get them. The VE is an all new car, and the BF has arguably been the better of the 2 since late '02 and it still hasnt gotten them continual market leadership. Theres been the odd month where its come down to the wire and one or 2 where theres been a fair margin in the Falcons favour, but other than that the YTD sales have always been in Commodores favour.

The only place i can see them getting sales from this is those people who think the VZ looks better than the VE.

So Ford will reveal the BFII tomorrow or just detail some of the changes?
