I even prefer this to the HSV, yes it does have a V8
ummm the second pic is clearly a chop, the lights aren't standard items, and the bumper is a modified M5 rear bumper...

as for the comment on the plastic add-ons, on this car, from a couple of stories i have seen there will be more in the way of sheetmetal changes than there will be of plastic additions (hopefully this turns out to be true)

it isn't a very satisfying look at the moment, the front reminds me of the Mitsubishi Concept X, and not sure of the rear....

Yeah, I know, but in my eyes the VY Clubbie (especially in VYII R8 Spec ) was a much more handsome beast than this.
The lines don't flow, the taillights look.. odd (hopefully this IS camo) and it looks kinda chubby.

Lights aren't standard items? What do you mean by that?

I doubt they would play with sheetmetal. If their production process is any similar to FPV's, then they simply take the standard cars and modify them. It would be hard to implement sheetmetal changes...they would have to be specially produced by GMH. Playing with sheetmetal is also an expensive game.

Well, LS1 is back up and running again. All picks and postings have been re-instated and the Moderator posted the following...

The images on page 5 have now been verified as being legitimate and in the public domain.

Sorry for the temporary closure of the thread.
Have a funny feeling something fishy is going on, though....

Adrenaline youre forgetting the big deal HSV made of how much more flexibility they'll have with VE. Whether the simplicity of build allows it or Holden have given them the capacity for it, but HSV have said theyre looking at sheetmetal changes in order to differentiate the cars. Its no longer a bumpers and badges business for them.

Yeah I just cant imagine the process of converting cars and using sheetmetal changes..it just seems like a biggish and expensive job to me...

apologies, i jumped the gun. in this case i didn't look hard enough at the lights, i thought they were a different shape, but they are in fact still the same as any other IS model. however i stand by my point that the pic is a chop, due to the creases in the bottom of the back bumper looking VERY similar to the ones on an M5

im confident it ISNT a chop, im a chopper myself, have been for over 2 years, the images are not chops. The lights are not standard of course, but as FPV said , HSV have evolved from that. The bumper is more so from that ferrari concept, and also the HRT / HSV concept a while back.

    Speaking of chopping..

My Dodgy 5-Minute VE HSV Chop
Yeah, I know the angle is really off and weird looking, but I wanted to get a look at what a VE HSV might look like, in a higher res than those pics up the thread.
