    Most easily recognisable car

Just wanted to ask that which car(or badge) can be recognisedby the maximum number of people in any country (without reading the name, of course).

The badge probably Ferrari (altough what about badges that have their names in it, like Ford?... ), the car probably the Porsche 911, over 40 years with the same shape must have helped there... From the same family we could also include the VW Beetle.

Id go with VW Beetle due to the vast amounts of them and the length of production. And it has been publicised by films like Herbie along with being distributed globally. Id also put the Mini Cooper with it because it is unmistakably Mini .. despite there being counterfeit minis

Corvette, 911, Beetle. Their silhouettes are unmistakable.

911 no doubt, corvette looks too much like its imitating a ferrari
He came dancing across the water

Most folks wont spit the difference between a Boxter and a 911, so for me the 911 lost out in the "easily recognised" stakes.

Gotta be something like the Mini or Beetle. Really because they didn't change shape for so long and were everywhere

Likewise the DS, some confuse the SM with it

i think 911 or ds aren't really recognisable in many countries. i'd say it's beetle, maybe fiat 500.

The beetle was sold in huge numbers all over the world , wheras the Fiat wasn't. This might be true in Europe, but I've never even seen a Fiat 500 (although I can recognize one)
