Just got the price for the 5.0 litre V10 BMW engine

Just got a call from the BMW rep and he gave me the price for the V10 engine.
This amazing piece of technology can be had for around 36,827.35 USD.

Can this fit in a 2005 C6 Corvette? More over can it fit in a Lotus elise? Think of the possibilites.

I think I'd rather have the Z06 V8 in the 'Vette, as it's cheaper, gets better gas milage, and has more torque for the same amount of power.

That's a ridiculous amount of money for an engine.

You got that right EN, i could get a 900kw XR6T motor for $US37K

The LS2 and C6 were made for each other though, what good will the 5L V10 do

It's a hell of alot of money, but its also one hell of an engine.

Best guess would be anywhere from $10,000 to $15,000 USD for the crate engine, since it's all hand-built. No official prices released yet.

The LS2 (400hp base C6 engine) can be bought as a crate motor for $5,859.95 USD.

As a rule, anything new and German costs too much.

You can't beat the value of a Chevy V8 .
No-so-proud owner of a 1986 Mustang LX with the 2.3L four. Anyone wanna buy it? $500. I'll post some pics and info in the user's rides section soon.

I don't need anything too fancy, just something that can get me to the sun and back in 5 seconds flat.

I wanna see a comparison test between the Saleen SR, Lamborghini Gallardo, Ford GT, and Ferrari Challange Stradale. Anyone wanna help me with that? I already know who'd win, though ;).

that would be mental, they only weigh 1.1ton with the M3 plant. I think they'd be better off whacking it into the GT.

I'd love to bolt one into one of the old M5s, cause they look way better.

Please explain how Chevy V8s are "low quality". Keep in mind that relatively low power-per-displacement is irrelevent when there's no limit on displacement.
