As far as I know, most of the Carribean Rum exported into little New Zealand is Cheap and not of the best quality.

    Captain Morgan.
    Jager.
    Jose Cuervo.
    Mike's.
    Smirnoff Ice.
    Skyy.
    Smirnoff.
    Sambuca.
    Bailey's.

Any of the above. Though I've cut down on my drinking, both in frequency and amount. I'm not the miserable son of a bitch I used to be.

I did it out of desperation. We had a party at my house at school, ran out of alcohol and I was sober so I decided it was a good idea. My stomach was messed up for a few days because of it.

what? don't be ridiculous. it's the same in any liquor store.
just because carribean nations export the most rum in relation to everyone else, doesn't mean carribean rums present the majority of rum available in liquor stores around the world.

Wine red and white, flavoured whisky, fruit based alcohol and most of time champagne but the pool didn't mention it.

no its actually not, i live in ontario and the way things are taxed here, carlsberg is cheaper than locally brewed steam whistle and carlsberg is tons better for the majority of people. the best selling beer is also from the united states. theres essentially no locally made rum. taxes change everything, and until you prove that most rum consumed is locally made i simply am going to refuse to believe it.

I think other than Canada the majority of rum is domestic.

Best alcohol related story I've ever heard of-
A person I know, absolutely crazy guy who should probably be in an asylum at this point, decided to drink about 2L of windshield wiper fluid one day. Not the best decision. He followed that up with a VERY large amount of Cpt. Morgan's. I heard it was a handle- which is ridiculous but possible.

He ended up in the hospital and had his stomach pumped I guess, and the doctors told him the only reason he didn't die was because the alcohol in the rum had reacted with the wiper fluid in his stomach.

Alcohol saves lives lol or at least one

In North America you'll notice a far greater abundance and variety of Caribbean rum due mainly to shipping costs/proximity. When you take into account countries like New Zealand or Bulgaria, it's more cost effective and efficient to produce and sell localized brands or non-caribbean blends.
