My car has a steel bash plate attatched to the sump to stop debris and the road going through it..

Come in handy more than once..

I saw one just like yours in a New Years Day smash-up derby a few years ago, same colour, wheel covers, etc. Looked out of place amongst the banger Cortinas/Falcons/Kingswoods which had brush-painted bodywork and wheels, lights removed, etc. In fact, at first I thought the driver had taken a wrong turning while looking for the carpark...
However he or she acquitted themselves well, with an enviable deathwish that thrilled the crowds, and some truly Kamakaze moments. The car finally died in a cloud of steam after about 2/3's of the field had expired.
    Legendary stuff, Volvo.

lol, I've heard of guys running over 15psi (stock turbo) without problems on similar cars only using a manual boost controller.

Are those the guys that use the turbos out of old Volvo semi's? Because I have heard of that and that is NUTS.
