Is it just me, or is the name "Fiesta" a very lame name for a car.

I mean, I know they're not appealing to my demographic, but making a hotted up version of what I see as a grocery getter called a Fiesta is pretty sad. The name just seems more... European.

The Cobalt doesn't have much going for it but it's got a cool name at least.

It also has that horrible word "sporty" attached to it.

in Europe this type of car, hotted up compact cars, were very popular in the 80's and first 90's, while in the late 90's they lacked except for some examples.
the name "Fiesta" then is almost a classic here, it has been present since 1976, so no one is paying attention to its name. it's like for the VW Golf, another no very interesting name...I'm wondering which could be an attractive one for such standard car...

    as for the Focus ST500

I have the same opinion about these cars: a revamped version for a almost discontinued car. better than nothing though

Bring on the RS, it looks damn good but 300hp+FWD=Ditch everytime you pull away. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...ocus-rs-5.html Gonna need one helluva trick LSD to keep that in check on the road. Apparantly that was one of the main problems with the old RS, great for the track but a nightmare on the road.

I do understand there is a different car culture in Europe, but I don't count a hotted up econobox that looks like that, is FWD, and has been hotted up desirable.

If the Focus RS was gonna be AWD like they initially said and had north of 250 hp, it'd be a blast to drive I bet but all that power to the front wheels is gonna create a lot of trouble.

I like the word Cobalt, but I've never thought it was a good name for a car. Depending on context, cobalt can either refer to a metallic element or a shade of blue.

Of course, I kind of like the name Fiesta, so feel free to ignore me at will.
