I do believe it is a RA22.
Too small to tell, really.

Yeah! I wish it weren't so, but I think he's running ultra-light...Originally Posted by ptclaus98

I don't know, they haven't been running any longer first stints than the others for a while. But still I can't believe in McLaren trying a very different strategy than the top teams. Though Raikkonen seemed to drive pretty much on the limit, so indeed who knows. Tomorrow will tell.Originally Posted by fpv_gtho
like in france... I thought they were sticking with their usual 2-stop strategy, but it ended up that the ferraris ran even longer than them during the first stint on a 3-stopper...
hope the run on the grass didn't damage the car...
It didn't look bad, probably his car is as unbroken as a McLaren can be...Originally Posted by Sinner

Welcome to UCP by the way
Hey thanks...
I just noticed you're located in Finland... question... when kimi does interviews for the Finnish media, d0es he sound just as monotonous as he does when he speaks in english?
Pretty much, it's also a common subject for imitations etc. in here.Originally Posted by Sinner

The big stories of the day (apart from Jenson Button's new "Jesus style" beard) were the apparent return to form of both McLaren and Honda, and a hugely disappointing performance from the reigning champs Renault and Alonso. I wonder how much "damper-gate" has been a factor in this turn of events? It is known that neither Honda nor McLaren used the controversial mass-damper unit and they have both impressed this weekend, whilst the pioneers of the system Renault have struggled without it.
Of course it is true that Ferrari have also ditched the system this weekend, but Renault have used the system for much longer than anyone else and it is thought that the R26 was always designed from day 1 with the mass-damper in mind. This may suggest that losing the system would have a greater effect on Renault than for the teams who have just adopted the system into their existing cars at a later date. I don't think it is by any means the only reason behind Renault's lack of pace as it surely cannot account for that much time, especially on a track like Hockenheim where the kerbs are fairly flat and aren't a major factor in the setup of the car.
Renault will be secretly rooting for Kimi to put in a blinder and keep the Red-cars from taking maximum points this weekend, whilst hoping the likes of the Hondas struggle for consistent race pace as they have done many times this season. Like Magny-Cours last week it looks like being a damage limitation exercise for Fernando and Renault, and if things carry on this way for the rest of the season then it could set up a nail biting finish for the WDC.
