I would argue that the 2005 to present Chargers are all part of the same generation.

    Thoughts?

Officially (so official it's on wikipedia) it's '05-10 and '11-present as two different generations. Or it's three different ones as on here, depending on which page you look at.

    So that's useful.

05 and 11 are pretty similar, but the 14 (or maybe even call it the 15) version has a completely different styling.
I used : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dodge_Charger to deviate the different versions.

It's the same chassis, as was handed down by Mercedes a while ago. This years facelift is just that, albeit a big one.

They're all the same car underneath, but I would say 06-10, 11-14, 15-

Last American RWD sedan, unless you count the soon to be dead Chevy Caprice/SS.

I've seen patrol cars use the Caprice, but I've yet to see the SS in civilian form. I assume it's far too expensive for anyone to consider. At that price, you can get many German/Japanese luxury sedans.

Due to some circumstances not necessarily relevant to this thread, my new job may take me to the US in the future and of course upon learning that I just had to go to the internets to see what would I drive if that ever happens.

I can fully understand why the Chevy SS isn't selling at all.

Of course, if I moved to the US of A I'd like to drive something big, rear wheel drive and with a massive agricultural V8. So it was only natural that first vehicles I looked at were from Fisler.

    • Chrysler 300S Hemi $38,390
    • Dodge Charger R/T $32,995
    • Dodge Challenger R/T $31,495

    And then the Chevrolets.

    • Chevrolet SS $45,745
    • Chevrolet Camaro SS $34,500

The SS is by far the most expensive. In fact it costs 45% more than a Hemi Challenger. So no wonder they aren't selling any whatsoever.

If you end up in the USA, you probably should pull a Hunter S. Thompson-esque NY-LA drive in a Hemi Charger, with a stop in Vegas.

I actually would prefer the Challenger, they've ruined the new nose on the Charger.

I never liked the nose on any of the new Chargers. In fact I think the current one is the best of the three, but I'd still take a Challenger.
