I would even pick you up in it at the airport! That's how nice a guy I am.

I was thinking about getting a co-driver, but that brings up the problem of accommodation, with only two people we could even sleep in the car if needed, but for three or more a hotel is needed for every night, which again raises the cost.... ...although the overall travel time would decrease and hence the amount of nights... hmmm... I have to think about it. Oddly enough I've gotten quite a few offers from friends here on the island to share the driving too!

    Damn you Pando!

Or should I call you Casanova? (what's that stricker on the rear quarter?)

How the hell did you manage to find a 15 yrs old beemer that has 94,000 kms on the clock and looks like 100% original with perfect color/wheel combination?

Sir, I consider you a connoisseur and a gentleman.

Well I do love the way it reacts to the touch of my right foot, but I'm also quite fond of my license. Even on the motorway you almost break the speed limit without leaving 2nd gear! While doing high speeds its definitely among the most stable cars I've ever driven, so it's all very tempting. Also 315 BHP & RWD is fun in empty roundabouts.

But there is a great track just 10km from where I live that I think I need to pay a visit to in the near future!

Thank you, but obviously this car would be a huge disappointment after the mind blowing performance and handling of the AXB.

Oh and nice to see your keeping up tradition with the awards! *imaginary thumbs up*

Haha! That's a sticker from the dealership the car was originally purchased from I assume.

...or maybe it's my nick-name and I'm trying to deny it?

Well, if you are willing to pay more than Hugo, I could change my avatar to a racing GTV and impersonate as a more intelligent version of you...

So am I, you know I had my doubts about all the cars we discussed in Norway. But the M5 just felt right, practicality without selling my soul. Unlike the Clio V6 for instance, this car can actually relax and be a quiet, comfortable and subtle or at my choice give many low-end sports cars a good run for their money while carrying four passengers + luggage.

I will! I've driven that road a few times with my girlfriend's parent's Citroen Saxo VTS and it was a blast! (An used VTS is a car I can highly recommend if someone is looking for good bang for buck, good handling and especially fun driving!)

I'm always looking forward to get a stretch of motorway and be able to use all the horses for a short while of acceleration until I'm up in lose-your-license speeds.

140kmh in the car feels like 100kmh in most "normal" family sedan I'm used to driving. That's why every once in a while I'm wondering why everyone else has slowed down - until I look at the speedometer!

The car was originally a German import. The previous owner, his uncle and his dad went to Germany in the early 90's and came home with an M5 each(!), as the owner's uncle passed away the uncle's M5 also ended up in the owners possession. So he was sitting with two, basically identical M5's and his wife already had a car of her own.

For years this M5 was just sitting in a garage, waiting.

As the financial crisis hit their company they decided to sell the car they weren't using anyway. He serviced the car, changed the battery and it was good to go!

As I called him the first time he explained to me how he these days basically has 3 M5's but, thinking I misunderstood his Spanish, I assumed he had 3 cars and wasn't using the M5 in question. I was quite surprised when he showed me pictures of the garage! He was glad to see I also was an enthusiast and knew I would take good care of the car that he couldn't say a bad word about!

We agreed on meeting up at some point for a reunion of the cars and when/if we do, I obviously will provide you guys with the pictures!

Thank you, I will put the internets into good use! Also, did I mention on the stretch of coast where I live there's an average of 350 sunny days a year! Quite the opposite to Finland I must say! Miss the snow though!
