Fun fact: the PS3 supports 7 simultaneous players, and 7 controllers.

Good point tho' TVR, how many GAMES actually support larger numbers ?
I personally hate multi-player as you usually end up with screens split and peering tryign to see anything in a tiny quarter of a large screen telly

You'll like Sony's new tv then Matra, for two players they use the polarisation to give each player their own full screen.

^^ Means you have to play with the 3D specs on ?

Neat solution for sure and avoids the "please look away" moments when setting up game plays in the likes of Madden

Yup, I know that. Sony ran into problems with that when they wanted 4 players on the move with 2 attachments each. Not sure if they ever fixed that.

I still can't think of any 7 player PS3 games.

On a side note, I love Bluetooth! I can play PS3 from upstairs, studying while the B-spec can run downstairs!

I don't think you need specs, I think there are cars(Volvo, Land Rover, Jag?) with their screen that had that capability, displaying different image to driver and passenger.

RM, I think that only worked due to the extreme difference in viewing angle. Given the angle is much tighter for two people on a couch, you'd need the glasses. Also, see the link in my previous post.
