    Modena Tour - Modena, Italy - 08/2008

As some of you know, I live in Modena since some years for University purpose. This summer, between my exams, I managed to get my mum's car so I could drive to some interesting places.
I visited the Galleria Ferrari, the Lamborghini's Centro Eccellenza and the factory itself, the Pagani's Factory and four exotics dealer of the town. I had the chance to follow a couple of Ferrari California out for testing as posted here while in Maranello, among some F430 out for the usual tests. We also entered one of Ferrari's official garages, the Carrozzeria Zanasi, which takes care of the recovering of some old cars and the personalization of them, both old and new. There was a deep red Enzo with dark grey rims, and a pearl white and black 599 GTB among others.
Apart from these highlights, the Galleria itself was kinda disappointing, bad illumination, a few cars, a very dirty bar (ok, a huge group of children was present that day, but I guess they could clean all the mess at least), the Building itslef isn't good looking inside and there wasn't a "theme" for the showed car, except for three of them, the "world tour cars", that is to say the F355 World Tour, the 612 Scaglietti from the China Tour and the 599 GTB from the Americas Tour. The cars were all gorgeous yes, but I felt like they (Ferrari) weren't interested in make the show itself more interesting, like if just the presence of the cars was enough.
Well, lets begin. It's going to be another huge thread
I'm aware the quality of some pictures isn't the best but I'm still learning how to use properly the gf's Nikon D40, and Lightroom is another issue when I messed up with the exposition...

The Galleria is indeed not a very conspicuous building but it does contain many goodies. Actually they change the car collection regularly and you will sometimes find historic vehicles that will 9or have been) subject of obtaining a certificate of origin. I found the exposed engine collection, including the experimental (one cylinder) ones, very interesting.

Yes, the engines' selection maybe was the most interesting part, and I enjoyed it as you will see...

    Nice pictures.

It has changed since we went there almost ten years ago.
