Well... Today I removed my entire sound system and cleaned it inside and out. Why? I sold it. I put it on craiglist for an extremely good price (basically wholesale) and a girl from a local university bought it about a week later.

    So whats next?

I though about the possibiliy of a GTO, however I only want one car (no winter beaters) and can only afford one payment at the moment. So living in a lake effect snow belt and driving a GTO 365 days of the year isnt impossible, but I'm not going to do it.

Then I though about possibly a GTI, but Quiggs owns one of those and I really don't care for hatchbacks much at all.

So lurking the Cobalt forums one day I found a gentleman 5 hours East of me that was selling his 2008 Cobalt SS Turbocharged for a very reasonable price. About $6k lower than all the local dealerships, and even about $2k lower than wholesale value.

So indeed I am, in a way, buying the same car. Except its a year newer, has less miles, Brembo brakes, a K04 turbo, LSD, and over 9,000 other goodies. Oh and its Euro Beige. I hope to cloes on the purchase this weekend and drive it home.

So stay tuned for a new thread

    UPDATE:

Small change of plans. Turns out the guy that was selling the 2008 Turbo was more flaky than a Head & Shoulders commercial. So I said F that and kept searching. Then I found this little gem.

It's no 2008 turbo but it's too much of a deal to pass up.

2006 Cobalt SS Supercharged. With get this 27K miles! That is just over 5,000/year and the previous owner is a GM Tech.

I'm assuming he got parts at cost because he has already in stalled the GM Performance Parts Intake, Exhaust, and Stage 2 Kit. Which is probably over $2,000 new, not including labor.

I'm also getting the stock wheels, and a set of 19" TSW's which I'm not a huge fan of, but I couldn't turn down wheels could I?

Anyway its Lazer Blue Metallic, with the Factory G85 Package which means it has LSD and Recaro Seats. Comfy as hell.

Should be picking it up Tomorrow or Thursday so stay tuned
