My pc is built primarily for games. So using linux would remove all compatibility

Hate is such a strong word. I love Microsoft and Windows but sometimes it just gets me so angry like when suddenly it wont allow me to use my browser or bluetooth and crashes every 5 seconds. Especially at this time when I'm all worked up with exams and revision, house hunting and my infuriating little sister.probably does for you cos your running it on weak machines

Instead of quoting every dumb remark in this thread, I'll just make my argument relate towards most of them, with a numbered list.
1. Someone said a lot of xbox 360's break. I own a 360 myself, along with 5 close friends who own a 360. None of ours have malfunctioned or broken.
2. XBOX Live should be free. Hell no. XBox Live blows the crappy gamespy PS3 online system out of the water. People pay for quality, and Xbox live is the best online gaming you can get for your money.
3. PS3 is better. Well, MAYBE in the future, but for now, PS3, or even Wii has nothing to compete with. A friend on my dorm room floor has Wii and 90% of the time we play MarioKart 64, a game that is about 6 years old.
4. Halo is not a good game. I think Cotterik said that. Well, f it, I won't even bother arguing against that because it's the best console game ever, imho.
5. $500 is too expensive for a console. My response: No it's not, get a job.

If that's not enough then we'll have to call IBM to use liquid helium on you. On the hot side, there is the Pentium D (overclocked Chernobyl) and the newly arrived HD2900XT which was tested to be too hot for liquid nitrogen.
