That's pretty damn cool if I had to say so myself.
wow. now that is sweet. one way to ride the 'ring without killing yourself
they had something of the sort at a rally i once went to. a subari STi was hooked up to a ps2 with colin mcrae on and the car itself was used as a simulation with a large screen directly infront of the windshield, and the suspension was linked up to the game. Very cool but this is even cooler.
Imagine one of those in your garage.... endless hours of fun!
extreme simulation without the downside of crashing and having to splash out your year's earnings
or dying.. ofcourse.
Looks pretty cool...maybe they'll have them in good arcades in future years...
What game are they running there for the PS3?
Subaru had something similar, although they didn't have the car. They had 3 screens and it sat on a hydraulic platform for the motion sensing.
It's a cool idea, it's just massively expensive. Gutting an M3 to do this is kind of a waste I think. I don't think they gutted an M3, but it's still a cool idea.
Sega did something like this for some touring car game. They had a Mercedes C-class DTM car, a Toyota Supra one, and some other ones in Tokyo.
But that is still awesome.....
I'm dropping out to create a company that starts with motorcycles, then cars, and forty years later signs a legendary Brazilian driver who has a public and expensive feud with his French teammate.
What a cool idea, I hope they didn't gut the M3 for this although a great experience.
Yeah, the guy didn't seem to know what he was talking about. He said that it was a Playstation Projector.
Considering that there was a keyboard, it's pretty safe to say that it's a computer.
Damn that's cool! At Goodwood FoS 2005 on the GM stand there was an Astra Sporthatch BTCC car hooked up to a PS2 playing ToCa Race Driver 2 with a hive LCD TV on the dash, pedals and wheel with gear change paddles all hooked up too, it was sooo awesome but took a while to get used to, the steering was really sensitive, and I sucked!

I seem to remember there being an arcade game with an F355 Challenge as the main car- unfortunately, never got a go... but meh...
I'd like to play with this if it's exactly what the M3 feels like.
Would have been about 10 years ago now but there was a game in Belconnen's Intencity (canberran members might remember) where they had a similar set up to this only using a Mk1 Mx5. Much fun
