In the end it is 1222kg officially.

Which if you consider similarly sized coupes is not that bad. The lightest is the Scirocco and this is already well over 1300kg.

Also, in Spain at least, it will be manual only. I'm presuming that this will be the same in Southern Europe, maybe all of Europe.

Welcome to Euro-NCAP (et al) crash test results for pedestrian injury.
Everyone's now getting 5* on occupants ( well everyone decent at design ) so the differentiator on safety will now move to attaining 5* on pedestrian too.
You create a rating and everyone wants to be highest and will compromise other things to achieve that.
imho EVERY Euro model in the last 5 years has become steadily worse at front overhang and shape. THAT bulbous A-R grille on the new Giuilia just the latest

Which is why you drive the RX-8. I remember when I first saw one thinking the short front and rear overhangs were offroader-like. (This is somehow a compliment, by the way )
I think the Giulietta looks pretty damn good, especially when compared to most other stuff out there and the MiTo.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

Funny that you did mention RX-8 since IMO the much criticised nose section of CR-Z looks exactly like that of a RX-8.

    Few new pics too.

hmmm, I don't think it's any bigger than the RX-8, maybe LOOKS it because of the 8s longer wheelbase and lower roof ?

Besides, LONG jutting out front was once done for aero reasons.
    viz the A610 !! See http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/forum...e-a610-003.jpg

Ugh...The CR-Z is kind of a disaster. It fails to live up to its sporty looks, and delivers nowhere near the efficiency of what I regard as its predecessor, the first-gen Insight. Plus Honda hybrid systems seem to trash the batteries - and thus its fuel economy - in pretty short order. Honda needs to go back to the drawing board in all sorts of ways on this car.

Ironically, Insights were not as prone to the battery problems that their current models seem to be having.

I think what Honda needed when designing this car was better... Insight!

Thank you, I'm here every night.
