    My first ride

The first car I drove was a 1989 Ford Tempo 2.3L manual. - broke the clutch

The first car I owned was a 1988 Pontiac Tempest 2.8L manual - lots of fun, did a few burnouts (using the handbrake, since its FWD) and generally just pounded the piss out of it. When I sold it for scrap The engine was leaking oil, it was overheating, the transmission gears were ground up, the clutch was destroyed, and it had numerous dents, squeeks and damage. Actually, the day I drove it home, I sideswiped my mother's car and put a huge dent/scrape across the side of it. Man, I loved that car.

1.8lt worked head mild cam pistons exstrackters 2.5" exhaust 4 speed. Suspension pedders lowerd low 100mm plus, 15x6 mags. Color was kermit green black intiria, power ??? 160kw 210hp. Very light car very heavy steering it was bad. Went like a bullet but it had Fuel pump problems and brakes shit them selfs. could hit 80-90kp/h in second but 130kp/h in third and the fuel pump problems kicked in. Was so fast and lite that my mum drove to work in it around a roundabout in the wet and did a 360 so she never drove it again. Then it burnt a valve or 2 and stuffed me very exspensive head cooked the pistons had it fixed but the damage was done ran like it had only 2-3 cyl after so sold it miss it but

The first car I ever drove was my father's 1988 Chrysler LeBaron coupe. The first car I ever owned was a 1982 Datsun 200SX hatchback 2.2L 5-speed, black with gobs of rust:

Bought it in October 1993 with 211,000 miles for $450 USD. Sold in March 1995 with 225,000 miles for $400 USD. Found it in the junkyard three months later, I still have the nameplate and shifter knob off of it.

My first ride was an '81 Honda Prelude, that was about eleven years ago i was like 16 by then.

I remember i had it painted metallic blue(i wanted charcoal gray but the guy told me it was gonna be more nice in metal blue so...)and had Fittipaldi rims!!!...

I also learned to drive manual on it.

    i can shank you all!!!
1978 Datsun Stanza! (see UCP official ownership challenge for some pics)
i just got it looked over (im still driving it) and it need a thousand dollars of suspension work, 800 for brakes to be fixed properly, 550 for a new clutch, i think the gearbox is about to go in it, and it leaks more oil than it burns petrol! anyways i have a question, would it be worth putting a 5 speeder in this car from a 4 speeder? is there any serious advantage in doing this? any help appreciated.
