imo the cars not worth it...and also i have given you an answer about the gearbox...datsun ones dont have a diffrent ratio for 4th but the 5th gear is geared exactly the same....if you really must do anything convert it to run a fj20 engine...it can already take it and revamp the suspesnion with aftermarket gear,,,it wont cost much more then that....

The first car I drove in was a BMW 320d (my mothers), since then I have driven in a Mercedes E220 CDI (my mother's), BMW 725tds (my uncle's), Renault Vel Satis 2.2 dCi (my uncle's), Vel Satis 3.5 V6 (my dad's), Renault Espace 3.0 dCi (my dad's) and a Ford Escort 1.6 (my grandmother's). Next week, when I have my plates and when the insurance is in order I will have my own first car. A Renault Clio 1.6 16V. 950kg dry weight (1070kg wet) and 110 bhp Expect pics next week.

i dont have a car yet (only 13) but i am getting something like a 1997 Porsche 993 or a 2003 ford lightning or maybe an rs6, it all comes down to cost i get a certain amount to buy a car, but i can earn 400$ a week working in the summer, so i could easily get a porsche!

'76 Dodge Aspen Special Edition...'76 car of the year. My father bought it based on that and because he liked the old Darts. But overseas it proved difficult to maintain, no Dodge service centers plus it was rife with problems. The Dodge was the first car I drove.

My first car was a '83 Toyota Celica GT Notchback - With the 22RE engine - unbreakable.

    Approx. 8 weeks of summer * $400 per week = $2400

    Approx. cost of 993 Carrera = $40,000

    $40,000 - $2400 = $37600 left.

You must be getting a hell of a lot of money for a car... are you really going to spend that much on your first car? You could buy 4 nice houses in Nicaragua for that kind of money

you suck, i am working for th $400, plus i earn 20 per car to wash each car every week, $2080 a year, time 3 ytears, $6,240, plus $20 for half of mowing the lawn, $1040 per year, times three years, $3,120, plus the 1,600 i have saved already, all together, 13,360$$$!!!!plus the fact that a 993 carrera is about 35,000 NOW!!!! i am getting it in 3 years!!! use the generic depressioation value, -20% of current value each year (35,000 now, 28,000 next year, exanple) so roughly 23,000 for an excellent condition 993, right in my price range, plus the fact that i have 11 weeks of summer, an extra 1200 a summer, 3600 total, leaves me with enough to buy some new rims and have 1000 left over, so ya i will need about an extra 2,000

all in all, i will break out about even, my dad will give me 10,000 i can buy whatever i want and can afford, therefor, i chose this, the 993, the same kind my dad had in 1997, but with either a gt2 or rs body kit and some different rims

i have it figured out eggnog

I didn't call you a "spoiled brat", but now that I've heard what you have to say, I realize that you don't have a very good perception of the real world. Hell, even in the "real world" of our Western culture (which is faaaaar from the real "real world"), you're lacking perception.

So in effect, I guess now I can call you a spoiled brat, and I'd now like mention how ridiculous it is that you don't think so.

Your answer is revealed in this post, actually

My family is also fortunate enough to have enough money to give me for a car. They didn't give me money for a car, gas, insurance, or anything, but that's not relevent to the point that I'm making - the issue is not between you and me personally.

You having been fortunate to have been born into a family with relatively huge amounts of wealth is exactly the reason why comprehending the real world is so difficult. In truth, everywhere you go in the entire world, very few people hold nearly all of the wealth. If we assume that the "real world" is the world that nearly all of the people live in, a wealthy upperclass lifestyle doesn't fit in to the definition.

Even in the very wealthy developed world where we live, a 16 year old being given a large sum of money for his own personal car is shocking to the hardworking lower and middle classes that make up most of the population. If we look at this situation from the average human's perspective, then the situation is pretty much off-the scale as far as wealth imbalance goes.

I don't mean to personally deface you - this is just another example of the inherently flawed and extremely unfair distribution of wealth nationally amd worldwide, with the fact in mind that everyone on the planet deserves equal opportunities.

When you get a bit older, I'd highly reccomend visiting some of the world's poorest places. I've visited some during my nearly 19 years of living, and let me tell you, they sure change your perspectives on things...
