Getting a proper 6spd auto would make it much better, but I saw the 5th Gear review of the Sport GT which has the upgraded Cambiocorsa 'box and Tiff said it was much better, he'd actually recommend it to people now.Originally Posted by Ferrer

In fact what's going to get is a proper torque conveter automatic gearbox that will be placed directly behind the engine (that means no transaxle for the auto). The flappy paddle transaxle will remain available, though. And the new engine will be the 4.7-litre V8 that has recently been unveiled with the Alfa Romeo 8C.Originally Posted by 2ndclasscitizen

True... somebody close to me has one and every time I see it I can't look away. It's just a fine piece of machinery...Originally Posted by henk4

I used to know a girl who reminded me of a Porsche. I never really knew why, but come to think, she did have a touch of "junk in the trunk," as the kids say these days.
I still hold out hope the Panamera will be a coupe, and this is all some sick joke Porsche is playing. Everybody who wanted a Porsche without the hassle of having a Porsche already bought a Cayenne. In some ways, at least in America, high-end SUV's are the new sedan (and green is the new black.) A well thought out coupe could compete with the Vette' over here, or even one of the higher-end Muskrats. What's the sedan competing with again? The M5 or Quattroporte or AMG übersedans? None of them sell worth a **** in America, but SL 55 AMGs, M3s, and Z06s do alright here.
I don't know. Maybe Porsche's target market is the dozen or so millionaires in Brussels who could afford such an expensive sedan and are actually turned off by SUVs.
I'm erudite ;-)
