Well, that depends on the kind of problem, doesn't it?

I mean it isn't the same, a malfunctioning radio than a catastrphic engine failure...

Yea, but a wobbly window winder in a kia is less of an issue than an intermittant electric window in an audi.

You know I thought Audi's main complaint was engine in front of the engine bay. Which is quite an issue if you think about it. Especially for the amount of money you've paid for the car.

At least the Kia would the engine where it should be.

Australia is home to the Holden (GM) Commodore and Ford Falcon - they're just the height of automotive mediocrity and it's so sad that these are two of Australia's highest selling cars because people have come to accept their levels of plainness when in reality they barely reach a 'pass' in all gradings of performance, value, ride and quality.

just wondering if plain and mediocre cars, as you cal them, dominate the sales, what does that tell you about the character of the population?
It is a general tendency that boring cars, like VW, Audi etc, tend to top the sale charts, also because journos who have to judge on different looking cars, call them "odd looking" and therefore out of the ordinary.

Actually I thought the Falcodores've been steadily improving over the past decade to get to a point of being not bad - worth the cost of entry anyway.

Indeed, there are worse ways to spend $40,000.

Like on a small european hatch thats not a Golf.

I'd still have an Alfa Guila, but I've always wanted an Alfa. My dad had a 90 when I was a young'un, it was a great car. I used to be mesmorised by the digital speedo.. and it was reliable too.

I can’t see how the Falcon and Commodore can be described as poor value, you do get a lot of car for the money and bang for the buck they do deliver, in a raw fun sense a V8Commodore or Turbo Falcon offer great value.

It’s the one eyed ignorant fan boys who normally drive them that piss me off.

I hate anything from Toyota, their cars are just overpriced soulless pieces of crap in today’s day and age.

rolls royce - youre telling me youre gonna pay hundred of thousands for a square box - the interior is just wood and leather which you can find in a XJ and s-class and they are much cheaper with all the gagets and gizmos and with much better realiability - class - rollers have class but what happes to the class when you tell people your car has a problem
