That's what I took it to mean and you confirmed what I though. I didn't realize they still have a "Skyline". Is that perhaps the same as the US Infiniti G37?

so, i get a call from the guy sellin the car today to see when im comin by to see it (cudn't go out yesterday, was raining bad all day), so im gonna c it tomorrow. but what i did find out fromt he guy is that, its not an R32 GTR, or at least, as far as he told me, the engine was stamped RB20. what should i look out for with this engine, if there are possibilities of major/minor problems. the milage, im still not sure of. will get back tomorrow.

    RB20DE or DET?

They both tend to be pretty indestructable untill you run them without maintenance.

Check all around the car, in the boot, make sure all the door gaps are still aligned right, if the doors swing out smoothly, does the boot line up? (alot of idiots drifting hit the rear 3/4's of the car putting the boot lines out - I should know )

Let the car idle for two or so minutes, then see if you can hear any noises that shouldn't be there when you rev the engine.

Some people genuinely dont know the value of a good skyline, so it may be worth it - But be prepared to walk away - DO NOT - fall in love with the car till you get it checked out by a mechanic.

there's nothing that an RB20 can do that an Sr20 can't do with more torque and minus 100kg
    Rb25 minimum.

Juicy? Could be a lot of things. Filters, air pressure, oxygen sensor, aftermarket botchery, etc.
