Veritas RS3 vs SLR Stirling Moss

I don't know much about either one except that the Veritas will supposedly eventually come out with a much tuned BMW-M-sourced 5 litre V10. Supposedly, it'll have 447kW, a top whack of 345km/h, 0-100 in 3.2 and weigh 1080kg (based on supercars.net's stats):

The SLR Stirling Moss as we all know has the familiar MB AMG 5.4 supercharged V8. The stats I could find are: 485kW, top speed of 350km/h, 0-100 in 3.4 and it weighs in at who-knows-how-much.

So let's say you won the lotto and for some reason you wanted either one of the above cars. Which one would you take?

the verita's is ugly. plastic kit car, tuner, ugly.
does the SLR still only have auto? it's too heavy, but of the two, i think i like it better.

Veritas RS3 vs SLR Stirling Moss

The Merc. Definitely. It has much more cleaner lines and a more agressive look than the Veritas SR3. The stats may seem similar but the torque on the SLR is suposedly much higher than the torque on the Veritas. And there's also the legend and history of Merc SLR.

Based on Top Gear, neither.. but the SLR upon pressure. Mainly because I accept it's compromises.

Neither car appeals to me either. Between the two though, I'd have to go with the Veritas. It's not the prettier of the two, I admit that, but if I wanted a weird open-top-no-windshield type of car I'd want one with a manual gearbox and relatively low weight.

I think both cars are probably priced for people that have somehow lost their sanity though, but there it is, Veritas for me.

hmm.. supercar car no one has heard of, or supercar nobody wants. i think i'll have to side with the SLR on this one. probably a lot easier to find a M-B dealer for repairs....

I don't like either of those too much, as well.

But the SLR has that thunderous V8 and looks better. Even if a little disappointing for what it could've been.

    So the Merc probably.

MB probably, the noise that engine makes is the main reason. I don't like how the designed evolved on the SM edition, but the Veritas seems kinda cheap and kit car.

Neither. I would probably get a Morgan of some sort. They have the BMW straight 6 from the old M3 right? Cheaper by some bits, I think.

I like the SLR, but I wouldn't want one. The Veritas is just ugly.

You've just described the Wiesmann MF3.

Current Morgans have Ford engines (the "old" ones) or BMW V8s (the "new" ones).

    The SLR.
It's a proper factory job and it is good looking from some angles.
I like Ferrer's thinking though, Wiesmann ftw.
