Their 'V' badge is nearly a copy of Cadillac's:

Its nice....but theres still that missing bit for me...

The overhangs dont go well together
It looks way too much like an old Astra face on
Some of the rear and side bodywork probably needed to have more muscle as well, or if not that tone down the front bodywork as IMO the front and back just contrasts too much overall

O0o0o one thing i DO like is the instrument cluster on the Caprice, sexyness to the maximos lol. Well model by model thoughts?

    SS / SS-V

looks good, and that orange will be the hero colour and does look the bit. Honestly I dont like the rear end at all, something about the chunkyness and boring rear spoiler put me off. However, saying that I am not a man of negative thoughts! The front bumper and appearance overall is aggresive and looks great, though from some angles it will look more chunky "flat", personally im more for the sweeping, modern designs. Interior is OK, I stick by my critisism of the full coloured interior, feckin shocking.

Overall, its an aggressive little package, clean, clean lines, angry quads and riding on some pretty nifty 19's

    Calais
Probably get flamed for this, but I would rather buy this over the SS or SS-V if I had the moolah in front of me. I just see more potential for aftermarket mods whereas the SS you really are content with what you have. Im glad Holden have gone past the phase of tacky add ons and what not, it shows with the clean shapes and ergonomics. Still, hating the rear bumper and exhaust housing (again lol) Headlights look good, xenons give it extra class and finese.

Opinions after the release? Well to say it doesn't look good would be a plain and silly statement for a blue oval man. I am one, but not a arrogant and biased one. The new commodore does look good, some angles better than others. (top views dont do it justice) Don't see how the aurion will compete with this, the design of the Aurion is simply boring and uninspiring. Trying the break into the market against an established name such as the commodore is tought work. Waiting to see Ford's official release to combat this, and the orion - well I have upmost confidence they can design and produce a new falcon that will look at least as good, if not better than the VE. Time will tell though.

Gotta say man, I feel for ya!

We may have only 18 Million people, but when it comes to cars the companies know we want things that drive well, drive fast and look good!

Mind you, you do have cheap fuel and probably don't have the scurge of the speed camera.

I think i know what you mean. Holden shot themselves in the foot revealing so much of the car with the Torana concept. Anything since then doesnt seem as good.

I'm highly dissapointed; saw the SS in person (with car-bras) the other day - sits really high and just generally looks akward. Yet another addition to the commonwhore taxi line...
