Brilliant is what it is, too bloody right. I find it ridiculous, if I'm perfectly honest; it's because they know people who have cars with such high emissions will almost inevitably be able to afford the £25, so they can just milk them for money.

And still the politicians fail to see the complete harmlessness of CO2. Emissions such as NOx or PM's are waaaaaay more dangerous and should be controlled. But that doesnt sound right into the public's ears and is likely to get less votes for it. Ah sod of you incompetent, misinformed losers around the world...

    /end rant.

I find it incredible that he thinks this will do anything but hurt him for his re-election campaign.

Businesses in London suffer, Commuters suffer. London suffers.

"Porsche has founded its business on the promotion and supply of highly polluting vehicles."

This line angered me the most. Way to take a completely unjust and incorrect stab at Porsche. I don't ever recall 'creating highly polluting vehicles' to be an objective in Porsche's business plan.
i was waiting on a moment, but the moment never came. all the billion other moments, were just slipping all away. i must have been tripping, we're just slipping all away. just ego tripping.

This dude is obviously an idiot because Porsche actually uses fuel more efficiently than almost any other car maker and their sports cars and SUVs are some of the cleanest in their classes. I hate people who disguise their far left tendencies as ecology. If he really was a "Friend of The Earth" he'd work on the causes of pollution like air travel, factory waste and burning fossil fuels for energy.

Nope, we're still mostly fossil fuel over here. Not sure how reliable these figures are as there's no citation, but Wikipeida says:

    Natural gas: 40%
    Oil: 33%
    Coal: 17%
    Nuclear: 8%
    Renewable: 2%

Our energy policies are in a state of change at the moment, with plans afoot to build a lot more nuclear stations in the near future to make up for the dwindling fossil fuel resources.

Natural gas plants would be cleaner than oil or coal plants wouldn't they?

Not by Much. It still pollutes but It's just generally more efficient.
