Regardless of cash flow, 911 GTS.

Aston's Boxster or the proper 911?

It has to be the six cylinder.

EDIT White on black with black wheels?

There isn't a doubt in my mind that the 911 would be the better driver's car.

...but I'd take Aston, hands down. I'll be te first to admit, I'm no Ayrton Senna and I wouldn't be attending track-days every weekend (I'm not a balding, 55-year-old retired orthodontist). The Aston is just on a entirely different level of sexiness than the Porsche and it would make me feel like a rockstar secret agent every time I slide behind the leather-wrapped stearing wheel.

probably the Aston, if I wanted to enjoy the Porsche experience I would go for a long wheel base late sixties 911S.

I agree. I'd rather have an old 911 than a new one.

    Porsche for me.
Really, the longer i think about the GTS, the more sense does it make to me. The GT3 is the best Porsche in terms of performance, but it is really, really hard. The GTS nearly matches it's engine performance and also has quite good handling, but it is much easier to live with. It may sound confusing, but it's the Porsche for persons that
    1. love very powerful and dynamic Porsches (eleminates the Boxster, the Cayman and the "lesser" 911's)
    1. don't want a turbocharged one (eleminates the GT2 and the Turbo)
    2. want rwd (eleminates all awd's)
    3. wan't to drive it in everyday life. (eleminates the GT3)
You see, the GTS makes sense. Kinda.

The AMV8 is without question a very beautiful car, but in direct comparison, the Aston lacks the power and the finesse of the 11er (ignoring the price difference which would put the baby Aston completely out of the race). I'd like it, but it's probably not my sort of sports car.

    I agree with that completely.

In a way, the GTS is the Porsche to have.

Would anyone change their vote if it was the GTS Cabriolet vs. the V8 Roadster?

What's the price difference btween the two?

    911 for me.

And no, making them cabriolets don't make a difference for me because I like coupes over cabriolets everyday.
