it's like to find a car with a non-electro-whatever, like accelerator, steering, ignition bla bla bla...they are better car for sure, but not more enjoyable. faster, safer, but the thrill and fun of driving is whole another story.
a good old Alfa Giula GT is a good remedy...
    and not very expensive

i think i will like this car the first time i will see it in the flesh.
i hope the hard top isn't a sort of box like that of the 550 Barchetta

oh, i forgot, one of my university's teachers told me that the car will feature a cylinder's deactivation system, in order to run on 4 cylinder when the driving conditions require it or the torque asked by the driver (ecu) doesn't need 8 cylinder to be delivered.

and, even if it's kinda off topic, he also told me these other two news/confirmations: the Alfa Mito will feature the new 1.8 liter engine with turbo good for 240 hp, and then this more interesting: Maserati (Ferrari9 is developping a new V8 2.8 liter turbo engine that will deliver 420 hp.

he is very young, so it's an enthusiast like us, and probably he becomes even more enthusiast while speaking about engines and similar...i guess these are not "confidential data", but i feel like he said a little too much...

This thing looks so bulky, expecially that rear quarter section. I can't say I like it really, but than again I said the same for the 599 than fell in love with it when I saw it in person.

I would like to know if Ferrari's strategy is for them to introduce a new model in their lineup continuously. E.g 4-5 years from now, will we get the California replacement? or is this something that Ferrari has done as they are in no hurry to replace the fantastic F430. I know there has been alot of speculation going around that Ferrari are working on the F430 replacement but timing is critical. If the F430 replacement is due in say 2010/2011, the California will help them in the sales department. Maybe this car is just a "one off" ? - time will tell.

Question for someone out there - has Ferrari stop taking orders for the F430 yet?

the new "430" will be unveiled at 2009 Frankfurt or 2010 Geneve, if there won't be problems or delays during the development. as i wrote before the car is going to me under testing in the next future, and it should be the next car to be presented, even before of the 612's replacement.

A Ferrari California in Azzurro California... I quite like the idea.

Looks pretty good. Better than in Rosso Corsa!

In coupe form it looks pretty good. I can imagine a coupe form following this model quickly.

i'm afraid but as i previously wrote, it won't.
i like the coupe form the more too, and since i'm not into spyder/convertible/roadster (3 exceptions: Alfa Spider, 8C Spider, Zonda F Roadster...), it's a shame, they lost a potential customer...if someone would borrow me some money...

I have to agree, with the roof on it improves dramatically.

    I can always hope.

If anything I can always weld it together.

i had the same idea...maybe we could also save some money, since we wouldn't need a lot of components
