    for more money.
Besides, there's something I don't like about in-seat climate control. I can't really put my finger on it.
"Kimi, can you improve on your [race] finish?"
"No. My Finnish is fine; I am from Finland. Do you have any water?"

oh no, I was referring to cockpit air cooling, not those in seat thinghy.
I've always been fine with the AC on on all kind of seats, and it's something usually standard, more often than leather seats.
I would be interested in the in-seat air cooling though, I tend to like fresh air when driving, as well as an heated steering wheel for winter, but those are both two quite expensive features I won't try in the near future.

I sweat quite easily, so if there are others in the car that don't like having the A/C as high as I do, I turn it down and sweat. I also prefer opening the window to the A/C.

...I don't remeber what my original point was.

Cloth is generally lighter than leather. Cloth, therefore, gives a slightly better performance advantage. Thats what I keep kidding myself with anyways. When you've got 120bhp trying to haul around 1300 kilos every little helps.

In heat, Cloth is always preferred to leather.

but It's good they thought of something like this. It's actually quite a common occurance to move away from the Chrome technique of leather tanning, but they are the only ones who have advertised......

They´re not bragging to you about some wacky engine technology and its relationship with a race no one cares about.
Yeah, but they also want you to think they're the only ones doing it, because no one else has announced it. In doing this they've instantly won over everyone with this problem who wants to buy a car, why take the risk when you're safe in a chrome-free Volvo?

How many potential Volvo customers will now about this?

I'd say it will be close to none.

How many people have this chrome allergy in the first place? I'd imagine not many.

suppose, just for the sake of the argument, I am planning to buy a new Citroen C6. Now one of my questions to the salesman will be: Is the leather free of chromium....then the salesman will probably have to say no, and then I'll tell him Volvo has that feature, and if enough people do the same, you will miraculously see that many other manufacturers will switch to chrome free leather.

    Good point.

But how many people will actually do this?

(By the way, do buy the C6... )

As soon as Volvo makes a advertising campaign in main stream media, based on this issue.
