And I'd bet that in today's time a flock of Brit's would flock to the same car because the accepted BRG is in context with the term. No one says 'Napier Green' anymore, that's reaching.

You had to go back to a 1960 magazine. lol

Dino, you are conjecturing about a group of enthusaists I am a part of and spend time with
1960 was to get an AMERICAN publication, which explained to an American audience back then that there is not a single BRG !

the Napier very light (almost lime) green was from 1903 !!!

AND it was never known as "Napier green" I used that term to describe the British Racing Team COlours as used on the 1903 Napier

Probably, if you wre to go to a group of YOUNG enthusaists and ask they'd likely pick the metallic green that Aston used on the DBR9s or maybe Bentley's Speed 8's darker greeen as the now accepted BRG, but will compare them no doubt with the 1930s "green" from the blowers. BUT as I'd said, all woudl at the end of the day say there is no one BRG !!!

    Dredging DIno ?

    How inappropraite a comment.
It *IS* where I was directed when I tried to find you example colours and check if it was Napier or Lister and 1906 or 1908 - as I couldn't be sure.
But the most is "knowledge and education".
( After all whre do you THINK the information on WiKi comes from ? )

BRG is an oft debated item in car circles and always the same answers need pulled out.
USUALLY because ther is someone who INSISTS that they know best and know what BRG colour is on the Pantone scale

When someone asks you what time it is do you tell them how to make a watch too?

When Rocke said it wasn't the BRG he was accustomed to he made my point. There is basically one and one only BRG that people relate to these days.

    To hell with Napier!

Dino, you're claiming KNOWLEDGE based on one comment about not one they recognise.
I'm sorry, if you show two of the closer shades BRG then most will not know any difference.
BUT THERE IS and that is the only point being FACTUALLY CORRECTED.

This arguing could go on forever but it won't change the fact that this car is ugly in that shade of green - be it British racing green or not.

    It's ugly.

I learned something new though - that British racing green is more than one shade. That is handy.

    Tis true.

Which is a shame really, seeing how good it could be.
